The difference between the T63 and T6 states of 6063 aluminum alloy

T63 and T6 states of 6063 aluminum

Both T5 and T6 are one type of heat treatment.
T5 is an aluminum profile extruded from the extruder and then air-cooled to quickly reduce the aluminum profile to the hardness requirement (8--12 hardness of Wechsler).

T63 and T6 states of 6063 aluminum T6 is the aluminum profile extruded from the extruder and then cooled by water to cool the aluminum material instantaneously, so that the aluminum profile can reach higher hardness requirements (above 13.5 hardness). T5 is generally air-cooled when the profile plant is quenched. Profile mills are typically water cooled when quenched. Both have the same modulus of elasticity. In general, the T5 state is used. If the deflection of the rod is passed and the tensile strength is slightly worse, the T6 state can be used. The intensity of T6 is better than T5, but T6 is generally 500-1000 yuan higher than the price of T5. T5 is generally air-cooled in the quenching of profile plants, and T6 is generally water-cooled when quenching in profile plants. Both have the same modulus of elasticity. In general, the T5 state is used. If the deflection of the rod is passed and the tensile strength is slightly worse, the T6 state can be used.
